Samsung Unveils AI-Powered Smart Eyewear for the Galaxy Ecosystem

Samsung has introduced its first intelligent eyewear, expanding the Galaxy ecosystem beyond smartphones with AI-powered smart glasses developed in collaboration with eyewear brands Gentle Monster and Warby Parker. The announcement was made during the Galaxy Unpacked event in London.

Samsung Electronics has entered the smart eyewear segment with the launch of intelligent glasses designed to bring Galaxy AI capabilities into a hands-free wearable device. The new product, unveiled at Galaxy Unpacked in London, reflects the company’s broader strategy of extending AI-powered experiences across its connected device ecosystem.

The intelligent eyewear has been developed in partnership with fashion eyewear brands Gentle Monster and Warby Parker, combining wearable technology with designs intended for everyday use. Samsung said the lightweight frames are available in multiple styles, colours and lens options, allowing users to choose designs that suit different preferences while maintaining daily comfort.

Powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon AR1 Gen1 platform, the glasses feature a built-in camera, stereo speakers and microphones to support AI-assisted interactions. Samsung said the device delivers up to nine hours of battery life on a single charge, while the accompanying charging case provides up to seven additional full charges.

Built in collaboration with Google, the eyewear integrates Gemini, enabling users to interact with AI through voice commands while remaining engaged with their surroundings. The glasses can summarize messages, provide live translation, assist with navigation, organize information from captured images into Samsung Notes, and support contextual follow-up actions based on previous interactions. Users can also share their point of view during calls or record hands-free video using the integrated camera.

Samsung said the eyewear has been designed with privacy safeguards, including visual indicators that signal when the camera is active, alongside controls intended to support responsible use. The company also worked with its eyewear partners to refine the fit around the forehead and ears, improving comfort and wearability without compromising performance.

The launch marks Samsung’s latest expansion of the Galaxy ecosystem beyond smartphones, tablets and smartwatches, positioning AI-enabled eyewear as another connected device aimed at supporting communication, productivity and everyday tasks through hands-free interaction.
