Birlasoft Named ‘Enterprise Innovator’ in HFS Horizons 2026 Report

Technology services company Birlasoft has been recognized as an “Enterprise Innovator” in the 2026 edition of HFS Research’s Horizons report on next-generation IT infrastructure services, with the firm’s AI-focused infrastructure modernization strategy and platform-based delivery model cited among the key factors behind the recognition.

Birlasoft has secured a place in the Horizon 2 category of the HFS Horizons: Next-Gen IT Infrastructure Services 2026 report, an assessment that evaluates service providers on innovation, execution, ecosystem integration, and market impact. The designation is awarded to organizations that enable large-scale, infrastructure-led transformation initiatives.

According to HFS Research, Birlasoft’s recognition reflects its efforts to help enterprises modernize infrastructure through artificial intelligence-driven approaches. The report highlighted the company’s focus on technologies such as agentic AI operations, infrastructure-as-code generation, configuration management database enrichment, and multi-large language model orchestration. These capabilities are intended to support autonomous and policy-driven infrastructure environments capable of handling AI-native workloads and hybrid cloud operations.

The report also pointed to Birlasoft’s emphasis on platform-led transformation through its Sigma ecosystem. The portfolio includes Sigma Orion for AI-enabled cloud and infrastructure operations, Sigma GenEx for generative AI experiences, Sigma AIOps for autonomous infrastructure management, and Sigma B-Secure, a security framework spanning users, applications, infrastructure, and networks.

HFS Research noted that the use of pre-built agents, automation frameworks, and reusable workflows allows organizations to scale modernization programs while maintaining operational consistency across complex enterprise environments.

Commenting on the recognition, Birlasoft Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Angan Guha said the company is focused on helping enterprises transition toward intelligent and autonomous operations through AI-driven infrastructure strategies.

Phil Fersht, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Analyst at HFS Research, said infrastructure is increasingly becoming a critical layer for scaling automation and AI-powered decision-making. He noted that Birlasoft’s approach stood out for its focus on reusable platforms, operational consistency, and building AI-ready foundations rather than applying AI to legacy environments without broader transformation.

The recognition comes as enterprises continue to invest in AI-native architectures and hybrid operating models, driving demand for infrastructure platforms designed to support automation, scalability, and real-time decision-making.
