Volkswagen India has inaugurated a new dealership in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, extending its sales and service network in Maharashtra. With the latest addition, the company now operates 17 sales locations and 16 service outlets across the state, reinforcing its presence in one of its key domestic markets.
The new facility includes a standalone showroom along with a dedicated service and spare parts centre located nearby. Staffed by a team of 40 professionals, the showroom will display four of the brand’s models, including the Taigun, Tayron R-Line, Tayron Life and the Virtus sedan.
According to the company, the Virtus continues to be its strongest-selling model in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, accounting for nearly 65% of Volkswagen’s sales in the city. To coincide with the dealership’s inauguration, the automaker completed the delivery of 10 vehicles in a single day, taking its cumulative deliveries in the local market to 3,643 units.
Volkswagen India Brand Director Nitin Kohli said Maharashtra remains an important market for the company, adding that Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar holds particular significance as the manufacturing base for the Tayron R-Line and Tayron Life. He said the new outlet is intended to improve customer accessibility while supporting the company’s focus on strengthening its presence in growth markets and enhancing the ownership experience.
The dealership is operated under the leadership of Ruturaj Deshmukh, Managing Director of Volkswagen Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. He said the facility is equipped to cater to customers seeking premium vehicles and aims to provide comprehensive sales and after-sales support.
As part of the launch, Volkswagen announced that the first 50 customers at the new dealership will receive a complimentary one-year Service Value package.
The expansion adds another customer touchpoint in Maharashtra as Volkswagen continues to build its retail and service network in the state while supporting demand for its passenger vehicle lineup.
