Mumbai, India: Larsen & Toubro’s digital infrastructure business, L&T Vyoma, has partnered with US-based cybersecurity company Fortanix to introduce confidential computing solutions powered by NVIDIA technology. The collaboration aims to help Indian enterprises and government organisations deploy AI applications while strengthening data security, privacy and regulatory compliance.

The strategic partnership brings together L&T Vyoma’s sovereign AI infrastructure with Fortanix’s confidential computing platform, enabling organisations to process sensitive information in secure computing environments. The offering is designed for industries where data protection and compliance are critical, including banking, financial services, healthcare and government.

Under the partnership, L&T Vyoma will provide AI-ready infrastructure comprising data centres, computing resources and networking capabilities. Fortanix will secure enterprise data and AI workloads using NVIDIA Confidential Computing technology, allowing organisations to safeguard sensitive information even while it is actively being processed.

The companies said the collaboration addresses the growing demand for secure AI deployment as businesses increasingly adopt advanced AI models while navigating evolving data sovereignty and regulatory requirements. By integrating confidential AI capabilities into L&T Vyoma’s AI Factory framework, enterprises will be able to run AI workloads without exposing proprietary intellectual property or sensitive customer data.

The solution also incorporates cryptographic verification of trusted computing environments, helping organisations demonstrate compliance with India’s data governance expectations while maintaining secure AI operations.

Beyond technology integration, L&T Vyoma and Fortanix plan to jointly develop sovereign AI and data security solutions tailored for regulated industries. The partnership also includes co-selling initiatives, proof-of-concept engagements and collaboration with Indian AI model developers to support the country’s growing AI ecosystem.

NVIDIA, whose confidential computing technology underpins the solution, said the combined offering is intended to provide a trusted foundation for organisations deploying mission-critical AI applications while maintaining stringent standards for security and data sovereignty.

The announcement reflects the increasing focus on sovereign AI infrastructure in India, where enterprises and public sector organisations are seeking secure cloud environments capable of supporting advanced AI workloads without compromising privacy, compliance or operational control.
