In an effort to compete with OpenAI and Anthropic, Google CEO Sundar Pichai unveiled Gemini 3.5 Flash, the company’s most recent AI model. At the yearly Google I/O developer conference, the news was made.

Gemini 3.5 Flash is Google’s fastest and most sophisticated model for agent-based activities, reasoning, and coding. Writing code, analyzing data, creating online interfaces, and powering AI bots that can carry out activities in the background are just a few of the complicated operations that the AI system is built to manage.

With new AI-driven and “agentic” features, the model will greatly improve Google Search, according to Pichai, who called it the largest change to Search in 25 years. Additionally, the business debuted “Gemini Spark,” a personal AI assistant that can operate nonstop and carry out duties with user consent.

Developers can use Google AI Studio, Android Studio, and Gemini APIs to use Gemini 3.5 Flash, which is now incorporated into the Gemini app and Google Search AI Mode.
