Addverb has introduced JEN 6, a new quasi-direct-drive (QDD) robotic arm designed for research and development in physical artificial intelligence, robotic manipulation and related applications. The system is being showcased at SEMICON India 2026.
JEN 6 is designed to support work involving Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models, world models, reinforcement learning and computer vision. Its applications include experiments in object recognition, grasping and physical interaction between AI systems and their surroundings.
The robotic arm supports wrist-mounted vision systems and comes with a software development kit (SDK) for data collection and independent control of the arm. These capabilities allow researchers and developers to build and test AI-based robotic applications.
Addverb said the lightweight design also makes JEN 6 suitable for university-level education, robotics training and rapid prototyping. The company is positioning the platform for experimentation where robotic perception, movement and learning need to be tested in physical environments.
At SEMICON India 2026, JEN 6 is being presented alongside two other Addverb systems. These include Elixis-W, the company’s wheeled humanoid platform, and Vertix, a compact storage system designed for surface-mount device (SMD) and surface-mount technology (SMT) components used in electronics production.
Addverb CEO and co-founder Sangeet Kumar said JEN 6 is intended to give researchers and developers a platform for exploring the relationship between artificial intelligence and physical robotic capabilities through manipulation, perception and learning.
The launch adds another research-focused system to Addverb’s robotics portfolio as the company develops platforms aimed at operating in changing real-world environments.
Addverb is showcasing JEN 6 and its other robotics technologies at Booth No. 1446 during SEMICON India 2026.
