TDK to Showcase AI Infrastructure and Sensor Technologies at Electronica 2026

TDK will showcase AI infrastructure, smart glasses, EV components and industrial monitoring technologies at electronica 2026 in Munich.

TDK Corporation will present technologies for artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure, automotive systems and industrial applications at electronica 2026 in Munich, Germany, from November 10 to 13. The October 20 announcement outlines demonstrations covering data centre power and cooling, smart glasses, electric vehicles and AI-assisted industrial maintenance.

AI Infrastructure and Smart Devices Take Centre Stage

At the exhibition, TDK will demonstrate components designed to address the growing technical demands of AI computing. These include solid-state transformer technology for converting medium-voltage electricity into lower AC or DC voltages, with 800V DC identified as a preferred output for AI data centres.

The company will also display technologies supporting liquid-cooling systems for AI servers, including temperature and pressure sensors, valve-control components and electromagnetic compatibility filters. An optical transceiver demonstration will bring together several TDK components used in server communications.

Wearable technology will form another part of the presentation. Exhibits include a meta-optic mirror designed to project images directly onto the retina through a structure embedded in an eyeglass lens, as well as sensor systems, microphones and haptic controls for smart glasses.

TDK will also showcase the Nibotics Dexterous Hand, which uses sensor technology and AI-driven perception to detect physical characteristics such as pressure, force, texture and temperature during object handling.

Automotive and Industrial Applications

For electric vehicles, the company plans to demonstrate technologies used in traction inverters, including its CUR 3020 AC-phase current sensor, DC-link capacitors, electromagnetic compatibility filters and magnetic rotor-position sensors. These components support current measurement, power stability and motor control.

Other automotive exhibits will address high-speed connectivity in software-defined vehicles and a compact, microelectromechanical systems-based laser projector for displaying information to drivers and passengers.

Industrial demonstrations will focus on predictive maintenance. TDK’s edgeRX and edgeRX Vision solutions use AI-driven analytics to identify potential equipment problems before they cause failures or unplanned downtime. Its VIBO edge vibration sensor is designed to detect early mechanical defects in equipment such as motors, pumps and compressors.

TDK-Lambda will present power-supply solutions in Hall A5, Stand 503, while ICsense will exhibit in Hall C4, Stand 100. TDK’s main booth will be located in Hall B5, Stand 520.

The exhibition will also feature a racing simulator linked to TDK’s partnerships with the Porsche Formula E Team and Porsche Coanda Esports Racing Team.
