L&T Semiconductor Technologies Ltd (LTSCT) has introduced 40 semiconductor products at SEMICON India 2026, highlighting new work in power electronics, computing, connectivity and mixed-signal technologies. The showcase includes the company’s first silicon carbide product platform and a motor-control chip designed entirely in India.
The semiconductor arm of Larsen & Toubro presented the portfolio in Mumbai under the theme “Silicon to Systems: Building the Ecosystem”. The products are aimed at applications spanning critical infrastructure, automotive systems, energy, digital payments, data centres and other technology sectors.
A key development at the event is LTSCT’s 1200V silicon carbide (SiC) MOSFET platform. The power semiconductor technology is intended for applications such as electric-vehicle fast chargers, microgrids, solid-state transformers and traction inverters, where power-conversion efficiency is important.
The company has also completed the tape-out of a fully designed-in-India BLDC motor controller. The integrated chip incorporates protection features and is designed with a flexible architecture that can support multiple product models. LTSCT said the approach could help reduce bill-of-materials costs and support the development of more energy-efficient BLDC ceiling fans.
Other products on display include an in-house USB-C GaN charger and a Vision Camera SoC combining image processing with on-device AI acceleration. Its Secure Identity Platform is designed for applications such as e-passports, payment cards and national identification systems, incorporating hardware-based security and cryptographic acceleration.
In connectivity and radio-frequency technologies, LTSCT is demonstrating four locally designed modules for smart metering, automotive applications and digital payments. These include the LCC43 Dynamic QR and Soundbox proof of concept for NPCI’s proposed Trusted Device Layer.
The company is also displaying MOSFETs, diodes, bridge rectifiers and its first internally developed SiC power modules and devices.
Dr Sandeep Kumar, Chief Executive of LTSCT, said the company is focused on contributing to India’s semiconductor ecosystem through engineering and product development.
