Bengaluru, October 9, 2026: Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has introduced the 2026 Fortuner Leader Edition in India, adding new exterior styling elements, cabin upgrades and convenience features to its SUV lineup. The model will be offered in manual and automatic transmission options, with prices starting at ₹36.51 lakh (ex-showroom).
The new edition features a redesigned signature front grille, gloss-black alloy wheels, a black roof, black rear-door garnish and a black-finished antenna. Body-side mouldings and an exclusive hood emblem further distinguish the variant from the standard Fortuner.
Inside, Toyota has introduced dual-tone black and maroon seat upholstery, matching door trims, ambient lighting and illuminated scuff plates. The SUV also gets auto-folding outside rear-view mirrors and a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS) as part of the updated equipment package.
The Fortuner Leader Edition will be available in three colour options: Super White, Platinum White Pearl and Attitude Black. Buyers can choose between the 4×2 manual transmission and 4×2 automatic transmission variants.
The company has set the ex-showroom price at ₹36.51 lakh for the manual version and ₹38.72 lakh for the automatic version. Bookings are scheduled to open on October 12, 2026, through Toyota’s website and authorised dealerships.
Sabari Manohar, Executive Vice President of Sales, Service and Used Car Business at Toyota Kirloskar Motor, said the edition brings styling changes and additional convenience features while retaining the Fortuner’s established characteristics.
Toyota said the Fortuner has recorded sales of more than 3.3 lakh units in India. The model is manufactured at the company’s Bidadi facility in Karnataka, alongside vehicles including the Innova HyCross, Innova Crysta and Legender.
The new edition also comes with ownership benefits outlined by Toyota, including five years of complimentary roadside assistance and a standard warranty of three years or 100,000 km, whichever comes first. Customers can extend the warranty up to five years or 220,000 km. The company also offers financing plans and its Toyota Smiles Plus service programme.
