Tata Steel, Google Cloud Deepen AI Partnership to Drive Global Operations Efficiency

In an effort to improve productivity and decision-making, Tata Steel has extended its collaboration with Google Cloud in order to apply a single artificial intelligence (AI) approach throughout its international operations.

In just nine months, the organization has deployed more than 300 specialized AI agents, signifying a transition from experimental use to widespread operational integration. Predictive maintenance, customer support, and internal procedures are just a few of the value chain applications for these AI systems.

This change is being driven by two important platforms. The Tata Steel Digital Assistant (TDA) functions as a centralized system that integrates data from many sources, while “Zen AI,” a low-code platform, allows staff members without technical knowledge to create and implement AI solutions.

Measurable outcomes have already been achieved by the effort. AI-driven customer support has cut response times by over 50%, and the TDA currently handles more than 70% of standard HR inquiries on its own.

The collaboration is part of Tata Steel’s larger effort to integrate AI into key business functions, increasing efficiency and facilitating quicker, data-driven execution throughout international operations.
