With a renewed emphasis on advanced manufacturing, digital innovation, and green technology, India and Austria are expected to strengthen their economic connections as their bilateral commerce exceeds $2.35 billion.

Sustainability-driven industries are important growth drivers for future cooperation, according to Vir S. Advani, who spoke at the CII India-Austria Economic Forum. With increasing two-way investments, the cooperation is steadily growing in the fields of engineering, industrial machinery, IT, and medicines.

A strategy change toward co-innovation, robust supply networks, and ecologically friendly industrial processes is indicated by the engagement. Bilateral momentum has been further enhanced by recent high-level engagements, including as Narendra Modi’s visit to Austria.

Christian Stocker, the chancellor of Austria, is scheduled to visit India for four days beginning on April 14. He is expected to meet with Modi during the tour to address important regional and international issues as well as to expand cooperation in trade, investment, and crucial technology.

Stocker’s maiden journey to India and Asia, accompanied by high-ranking authorities and business executives, highlights the increasing significance of India-Austria relations in a world economy that is changing quickly.
