Sony Brings True RGB Display Technology to India With BRAVIA 9 II and BRAVIA 7 II Launch

Sony has expanded its premium television lineup in India with the introduction of the BRAVIA 9 II and BRAVIA 7 II, marking the debut of its True RGB display technology powered by the RGB Backlight Master Drive Pro. The new models are designed to deliver improved colour accuracy, enhanced brightness and an upgraded home entertainment experience.

The latest BRAVIA televisions introduce Sony’s new RGB Backlight Master Drive Pro technology, which independently controls red, green and blue LED backlights. The company said the system is designed to improve colour reproduction by delivering a broader colour range and more precise lighting control, while maintaining deeper contrast and higher brightness levels.

Leading the new range is the flagship BRAVIA 9 II, positioned as Sony’s most advanced implementation of its RGB display technology. Along with the newly developed LED control system, the television combines the company’s XR Cognitive Processor with XR Triluminos Max to optimise colour, contrast and brightness in real time. The model also incorporates X-Wide Angle technology and X-Anti Reflection features to improve viewing performance across different lighting conditions.

The BRAVIA 7 II extends the same RGB display technology to a wider audience while retaining several premium viewing features. Both television series support Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, DTS:X and IMAX Enhanced, and include Google TV with Gemini integration. Sony has also equipped the models with Acoustic Multi-Audio+ technology, Sound Positioning Tweeters and Up-Firing Beam Tweeters to create a more immersive audio experience.

Additional features include Studio Calibrated modes compatible with leading streaming platforms, AI-driven picture and sound optimisation, voice control support through Google Assistant, and ambient sensing that automatically adjusts display settings based on the viewing environment.

Sony said the new televisions will be available in multiple screen sizes, ranging from 55 inches to 85 inches, depending on the model. Pricing begins at ₹3,59,900 for the BRAVIA 7 II and ₹5,39,990 for the flagship BRAVIA 9 II. Select models are available immediately, while others will be introduced in phases through Sony retail stores, the ShopAtSC online platform and major consumer electronics retailers across India.

With the launch, Sony is further strengthening its premium television portfolio by combining advanced display technology, intelligent processing and integrated entertainment features for home viewers.
