India and Germany have agreed to strengthen cooperation in energy security, low-carbon development and carbon markets following a bilateral meeting between senior ministers in New Delhi.
Union Minister for Power and Housing & Urban Affairs Manohar Lal held talks with German Federal Minister for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Climate Protection and Nuclear Safety Carsten Schneider on September 2, 2026. The meeting focused on reviewing existing cooperation between the two countries and identifying areas for deeper engagement in the energy sector.
