BenQ has introduced two new 4K home cinema projectors in India, the W5850 and W4100i, expanding its premium home entertainment lineup with models designed for dedicated home theatres and living room entertainment. The products were showcased at Smart Home Expo 2025 in Mumbai and feature solid-state illumination technology, advanced HDR support and cinema-focused color performance.
BenQ has launched its latest premium home cinema projectors, the W5850 and W4100i, in the Indian market, marking an expansion of its high-end projection portfolio. The company unveiled both models during Smart Home Expo 2025 in Mumbai, positioning them for consumers seeking large-screen home entertainment experiences.
The W5850 is designed for dedicated home theatre environments, offering up to a 200-inch display. It features a 2,600-lumen blue laser light source, a digital four-way lens shift, 1.6x motorized zoom and a throw ratio that enables a 180-inch image from approximately four metres.
The W4100i targets users looking for a versatile entertainment projector with built-in smart features. It comes equipped with a 4LED light source rated at 3,200 ANSI lumens, integrated Android TV with native streaming support, and an AI Cinema Mode that automatically adjusts picture settings based on the displayed content and ambient lighting conditions.
Both projectors support true 4K UHD resolution with 8.3 million pixels and cover 100% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut through BenQ’s CinematicColor technology. They also include HDR-PRO imaging with support for HDR10+, HDR10 and Hybrid Log-Gamma (HLG), alongside Dolby Atmos pass-through, eARC connectivity and compatibility with 7.1-channel surround sound systems. BenQ says both models offer an input latency of 17.9 milliseconds, making them suitable for gaming as well as movie viewing.
Commenting on the launch, Rajeev Singh, Managing Director of BenQ India and South Asia, said the company aims to make cinema-grade projection technology more accessible for Indian consumers, whether they are building dedicated home theatres or premium living room entertainment spaces.
According to the company, the W5850 and W4100i will be available through its Home AVSI partner network across India.
