SecuPi has been recognised as a Sample Vendor in the 2026 Gartner Hype Cycle for Digital Identity, placing the company in the Authorization Management Platforms category as enterprises reassess how access to data and systems is controlled.
SecuPi announced the recognition on August 31, 2026, saying Gartner’s inclusion reflects the growing importance of authorization technologies as organisations move away from traditional permission models towards more dynamic, identity-based approaches.
According to the company, Gartner’s analysis indicates that Authorization Management Platforms remain at an early stage of adoption, with estimated market penetration of only 1% to 5%. SecuPi said the limited adoption points to significant potential for growth as enterprises modernise their access-control strategies.
The recognition comes as businesses increasingly deploy AI agents that interact with databases, applications, APIs and other enterprise systems. SecuPi said these environments can create security challenges when AI agents operate through shared service accounts or other non-human identities with permissions that exceed what is required for a particular task.
The company’s Runtime Data Access Control Platform is designed to address this issue at the data-access layer. It provides controls covering the discovery of interactions between users, AI agents and enterprise data, followed by policy enforcement during runtime.
SecuPi’s platform can apply access rules based on factors including identity, purpose, ticket context and data attributes. These controls determine which resources, records, fields and document elements an agent can access, as well as which actions it can perform.
The platform also supports runtime protection measures including just-in-time account brokering, Zero Standing Privileges, blocking of unauthorised actions, dynamic masking, de-identification, tokenisation and encryption.
Another component is activity auditing. SecuPi said its system records interactions involving the requesting human identity, agent identity, purpose, ticket context, accessed data, actions performed and risk scores.
The company said its technology can be deployed across environments involving platforms such as AWS Bedrock, Microsoft Copilot Studio, Salesforce Agentforce, ServiceNow, Snowflake Cortex AI and Databricks, as well as custom MCP-based applications.
The Gartner recognition comes as enterprises increasingly look beyond conventional identity management towards controls that can govern autonomous software and AI systems accessing sensitive information.
