Renewable energy company Avaada Group has expanded its portfolio beyond 17.7 GWp, with more than 7.2 GWp operational and approximately 10.5 GWp under construction, strengthening its position in India’s clean energy sector.
Avaada Group has announced that its renewable energy portfolio has surpassed 17.7 GWp, marking a significant milestone in the company’s expansion across India’s clean energy landscape. The portfolio comprises over 7.2 GWp of operational capacity and around 10.5 GWp currently under construction, reflecting continued growth in renewable power generation projects.
The company added more than 2 GWp of capacity during FY 2025-26, further expanding its footprint across multiple renewable energy technologies. Its portfolio includes solar, wind, solar-wind hybrid, Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) projects, and solar-plus-storage solutions designed to support round-the-clock clean power supply.
According to the company, the operational capacity of over 7.2 GWp is capable of supplying electricity to more than 20 lakh households. Avaada estimates that this installed capacity can help avoid over 10 million tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO₂e) emissions annually by replacing conventional fossil fuel-based electricity generation.
The milestone comes as India accelerates efforts to expand non-fossil fuel energy generation. Avaada said its growing portfolio supports the country’s broader objective of increasing renewable energy deployment and enhancing energy security through cleaner power sources.
Led by Chairman Vineet Mittal, Avaada Group operates across multiple segments of the clean energy value chain, including renewable power generation, solar manufacturing, green hydrogen, battery storage and related energy-transition technologies. The latest capacity addition highlights the company’s ongoing investments in utility-scale renewable infrastructure and integrated energy solutions.
With a substantial project pipeline under development, the company is expected to continue expanding its renewable energy assets in the coming years as demand for clean and reliable power grows across India.
