Wipro has unveiled an Applied AI Center of Excellence (CoE) in Bengaluru focused on Anthropic’s Claude AI models, strengthening its push to help enterprises deploy artificial intelligence at scale.
The new facility, announced on June 16, is designed to support the development and implementation of AI-powered solutions using Claude models across a range of business functions and industries. The initiative forms part of Wipro’s broader strategy to expand its AI capabilities and drive practical enterprise applications of generative AI technologies.
Located at the company’s innovation hub in Bengaluru, the center will integrate Claude-powered capabilities across Wipro’s existing AI ecosystem, including delivery platforms, functional solutions and industry-specific offerings. The company said the objective is to embed AI more deeply into business workflows and improve the speed at which organizations can move from experimentation to production deployments.
The launch comes as technology services firms increase investments in AI amid growing demand from enterprises seeking to automate operations, enhance decision-making and improve productivity. Industry players have been expanding partnerships with major AI providers to build specialized expertise and create repeatable deployment frameworks for clients.
Wipro said the center will leverage its existing AI platforms and delivery methodologies to help organizations implement AI solutions with greater consistency and governance. The company aims to support customers in translating AI initiatives into measurable business outcomes rather than limiting them to pilot projects.
The CoE is also a key initiative under Wipro’s recently created AI-Native Business & Platforms Unit, which was established to accelerate the development of AI-led products, platforms and services. The business unit focuses on scaling enterprise-grade AI solutions and creating new growth opportunities around emerging AI technologies.
The announcement reflects the increasing emphasis among global IT services companies on building dedicated AI practices and partnerships as enterprises look for practical ways to integrate advanced AI models into core business operations.
Anthropic’s Claude models have emerged as a significant enterprise AI platform, with consulting and technology firms increasingly incorporating them into transformation and automation initiatives for large organizations.
