The West Asian conflict raises cybersecurity concerns for India.

India is on high alert due to increased cyber threats related to the ongoing confrontation between the United States, Israel, and Iran. The issue has gotten worse after news surfaced of extremist groups, including Al Qaeda, calling for large-scale cyberattacks against numerous countries, including India.

Security services have warned that Indian firms with ties to global weapons supply chains might become targets. Aviation, financial services, and vital infrastructure are all considered vulnerable to cyber incursions and disruptions.

While no special cyber advice has been issued, authorities have implemented precautionary measures in aircraft operations, such as route changes to avoid conflict zones. Experts point out that cyberattacks frequently intensify during long-term geopolitical confrontations, increasing hazards for states tangentially involved in the fight.

Analysts also warn that threat actors may try to mask assaults, making attribution more difficult. The changing environment emphasizes the need for increased cybersecurity preparation in both the public and private sectors.

India continues to closely follow developments as global tensions rise, with a focus on protecting vital systems and ensuring operational stability.
