Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Limited has announced a landmark three-year partnership with the Indian Premier League’s Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), becoming the franchise’s Principal Sponsor and Health Partner beginning with the IPL 2026 season. The deal marks Sun Pharma’s first-ever entry into cricket sponsorship, underlining its strategy to deepen corporate brand visibility through India’s most popular sporting spectacle.

As part of the agreement, the Sun Pharma logo will appear prominently on RCB’s red and black playing jersey, along with the team’s official green match kit and training apparel. The collaboration also includes high-impact branding across RCB’s home stadium during matches, offering extensive visibility throughout each IPL season.

Sun Pharma Managing Director Kirti Ganorkar highlighted that cricket in India transcends sport to become a shared cultural emotion, noting that the partnership with RCB reflects “shared values of consistency, passion and innovation.” Through this association, the pharmaceutical giant aims to strengthen its connection with millions of fans across India, bringing them closer to the company behind medicines used every day by many.

The deal also aligns with Sun Pharma’s recent corporate brand campaign, centred on the theme of “touching 1,000 lives every minute,” reflecting its mission of improving patient lives. Through its RCB association, the company hopes to extend this message to a broader audience during the high-visibility IPL period.

This collaboration is expected to boost Sun Pharma’s corporate profile while offering RCB strong commercial backing as it competes in one of the world’s most watched T20 leagues.
