One of the biggest yearly greenfield expansions outside of China, Adani Green Energy installed more than 5 GW of renewable energy capacity in FY26, bringing its total operational portfolio to 19.3 GW.

A varied sustainable energy strategy is reflected in the increase, which consists of 3.4 GW of solar, 686 MW of wind, and 1 GW of hybrid capacity. The Khavda renewable energy park in Gujarat, which is expected to grow into the largest renewable energy plant in the world, provides a sizable amount of this increase.

The company’s entire portfolio may offset up to 36 million tons of carbon emissions annually, with the newly increased capacity estimated to offset about 10 million tonnes. Out of a planned 30 GW by 2029, more than 9.4 GW have already been built at Khavda.

To improve grid stability and facilitate the integration of renewable energy sources, the company has also installed 1,376 MWh of battery energy storage devices.

This development supports India’s larger energy security and decarbonization objectives and is in line with Adani Green’s ambition of reaching 50 GW capacity by 2030.
