The Swasth Bharat Portal was introduced by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare as part of India’s efforts to create an integrated, technologically advanced healthcare system.
At the 10th National Summit on “Innovation and Inclusivity: Best Practices Shaping India’s Health Future,” Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda unveiled the webpage.
Swasth Bharat is a unified digital health platform that combines several applications created under several national health initiatives into a single interface. The site has a federated design based on APIs to enhance interoperability, minimize redundant data entry, and simplify reporting for healthcare professionals.
Secure patient record interchange is made possible by the platform’s compatibility with ABHA health accounts and compliance with the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission.
By eliminating tedious administrative labor and enhancing data-driven decision-making, the site would streamline workflows for frontline employees including ASHAs, ANMs, and medical officers, according to officials.
The government anticipates that the project will accelerate India’s shift to a scalable and interconnected digital public health ecosystem while reducing infrastructure and operating expenses.
