Driven by a new wave of deep-tech firms, India is seeing a change from its traditional dominance in software to an increasing concentration on robotics and hardware innovation.

Businesses like Addverb, Unbox robots, Ati Motors, and CynLr are spearheading this change in industries including machine vision, industrial robots, and warehouse automation.

These companies are progressively developing cutting-edge AI-powered technologies, such as autonomous mobile robots and adaptive systems with real-time learning and decision-making capabilities. Many are aiming for international markets, where there is a greater need for automation, particularly in manufacturing and logistics.

Robots can now handle complex, dynamic settings in addition to repetitive jobs thanks to the convergence of edge computing, artificial intelligence, and enhanced hardware capabilities.

But there are still difficulties. Although domestic supply chains and research ecosystems are developing, the industry still depends on imported parts like sensors and specialized electronics.

Despite these obstacles, increasing localization initiatives and expanding manufacturing capacities indicate a developing robotics ecosystem, establishing India as a major force in deep-tech innovation worldwide.
