Nissan is preparing to enhance its foothold in the Indian market with the planned launch of the Nissan Tekton, a new C-segment SUV set to debut on February 4, 2026. Once released, the Tekton is projected to compete with popular models such as the Tata Sierra, Hyundai Creta, and Kia Seltos.
Nissan Tekton’s design is inspired by the brand’s flagship Patrol SUV. The front has unusual C-shaped LED daytime running lights that wrap around the horizontally positioned headlamps. A wide grille with a huge Nissan symbol is flanked by chrome slats that match the DRL light bar, giving the SUV a commanding road presence. The front bumper features delicate chrome detailing, and C-type design elements on the front fenders enhance its visual appeal. The Tekton’s rear is projected to include angular LED taillamps joined by a C-shaped light bar, confirming its current design language.
The Tekton will be built on the CMF-B platform, which is shared with the future Renault Duster. While Nissan has not provided any inside specifications, the SUV is likely to have a feature-rich cabin. Highlights expected include a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 7-inch completely digital instrument cluster, a 360-degree camera, several drive modes, rear air vents, and automated climate control.
The Nissan Tekton is expected to be powered by a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The engine is estimated to generate 154 horsepower and 250 Nm of torque. The SUV is expected to launch in India by mid-2026.
