Microsoft Copilot Adds Mobile Reminder Alerts for Android and iOS Users

Microsoft has begun rolling out a new Reminders feature in its AI assistant Copilot, enabling users to receive push notifications for scheduled reminders directly on their Android and iOS devices. The capability, currently in testing, marks a significant upgrade to Copilot’s utility, bridging the gap between simple conversational AI and practical task management across devices.

With this update, users can ask Copilot to remind them of tasks at specific times, for example, to “remind me in 10 minutes” or to set up weekly alerts for important activities. Once a reminder is set through Copilot, the assistant delivers a push notification to the user’s mobile device at the chosen time, provided the Copilot app is installed and notification permissions are enabled.

The feature also introduces flexibility in reminder management. Users can create both one-time and recurring notifications, which can include dynamic content, such as a daily prompt for a new Spanish word, making Copilot reminders useful for learning routines or regular check-ins.

This development brings Copilot closer in functionality to other AI assistants like ChatGPT and Gemini, which already support task scheduling and notifications, and reflects Microsoft’s ongoing efforts to weave practical productivity tools into its AI ecosystem.
