In the recently published Responsible Nations Index, India is ranked higher than the US, China, and Russia, indicating a change in the global conversation from power domination to responsible governance.
Instead of using conventional measurements of power, the index, which was created over a three-year period with academic validation, assesses nations on the basis of accountability, citizen welfare, environmental management, and international conduct.
India’s high performance is credited to its contributions to international cooperation and peacekeeping, which have helped counteract persistent issues with sustainability and governance related to its developmental stage.
The index’s organizers claim that it is intended to promote contemplation rather than rivalry, particularly in a world characterized by geopolitical unrest, environmental issues, and dwindling confidence.
India’s ranking establishes the nation as a trustworthy and accountable actor on the international scene and points to an emerging form of global leadership centered on moral behavior, stability, and calibrated diplomacy.
