A ₹4,000 crore battery storage facility in Haryana is proposed by TDK.

In an effort to improve India’s capacity for energy storage and production, TDK Corporation has suggested investing about ₹4,000 crore to establish a battery energy storage system (BESS) plant in Haryana.

A TDK delegation met with Union Power Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini at the Bharat Electricity Summit in 2026 to discuss the plan.

The Sohna area, where TDK already has a sizable manufacturing operation, is probably where the factory will be established. It is anticipated that the new initiative will concentrate on energy storage systems and cutting-edge battery technologies, which are essential for incorporating renewable energy into the grid.

According to officials, the investment might help India move to sustainable energy while lowering its dependency on battery imports. Additionally, the project is anticipated to create jobs and strengthen Haryana’s standing as a center for sophisticated manufacturing.

The plan, which is backed by investor-friendly laws and increasing ease of doing business, underscores the growing interest in India’s energy sector on a worldwide scale.
