Mumbai, India: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has launched TCS ADD™ AgentHub, an enterprise AI platform designed to help pharmaceutical companies deploy agentic AI across drug development and pharmacovigilance while meeting regulatory and audit requirements.
The platform is aimed at addressing challenges faced by pharmaceutical companies as they manage growing data volumes, fragmented systems and increasingly complex regulatory requirements across research and development operations.
TCS said AgentHub provides a framework in which AI agents work within defined roles and oversight structures, with auditability built into the deployment process. Pharmaceutical companies can configure AI agents for specific clinical workflows and introduce them progressively across their operations.
According to TCS, applications built using the platform have recorded efficiency gains of up to 40% in clinical data management. Metadata-driven automation has also reduced clinical study build efforts by as much as 30%, while end-to-end safety case processing has achieved cost savings of up to 30%. AI-based safety agents have further reduced quality-control efforts by as much as 50%, the company said.
AgentHub supports a range of activities spanning clinical development and pharmacovigilance. These include intake and processing of individual case safety reports, data entry, coding, review and literature analysis, along with study design, protocol digitisation, clinical data review and SDTM transformation. The platform also provides assistance with medical monitoring.
TCS said the system follows a human and AI operating model, with AI agents integrated into enterprise workflows while people remain responsible for governance and decision-making.
Debashis Ghosh, President of Lifesciences and Healthcare at TCS, said the platform is intended to help pharmaceutical companies use agentic AI at scale while maintaining oversight in a changing regulatory environment.
The company said its catalogue of AI agents will continue to evolve based on specific organisational requirements and operating environments.
