Iran’s Supreme Leader’s envoy to India, Dr. Abdul Majid Hakeem Ilahi, emphasized the need for peace and called the violence a “big mistake” affecting the world community. He emphasized India’s strong diplomatic position and well-rounded foreign policy as important elements that could aid in reducing tensions.
Mohammad Fathali, Iran’s ambassador to India, added that India might be “productive and positive” in promoting communication between the participating countries.
Despite tensions, ships continue to pass through the vital Strait of Hormuz. The channel has been securely traversed by a number of ships flying the Indian flag, including crude and LPG carriers, guaranteeing the continuation of vital energy supplies.
