In Thane, a suburb in the Mumbai area, Godrej Properties Ltd. has teamed up with a landowner to build an 18-acre residential project that might generate over ₹7,500 crore in revenue.
The Mumbai-based real estate company announced in a regulatory filing that it has signed a collaborative development agreement for the Thane land tract. The landowner’s identity was not revealed by the corporation. The planned development is a component of Godrej Properties’ continuous expansion strategy and will primarily be residential in nature.
In order to expand its housing inventory across important markets, the company uses a hybrid expansion strategy, buying land outright and partnering with landowners on joint development agreements.
Godrej Properties’ managing director and CEO, Gaurav Pandey, stated that the company’s growth strategies continue to revolve around strategic expansion in high-potential micromarkets. He pointed out that because to better connectivity and infrastructure, Thane has become one of the most alluring residential areas in the Mumbai Metropolitan Area. The forthcoming project will be the business’s fourth Thane development.
One of the top developers of real estate in India is Godrej Properties. In the first nine months of the current fiscal year, the firm reported a 25% increase in sales bookings to ₹24,008 crore. The company is still optimistic about meeting its full-year booking target of ₹32,500 crore for FY26.
